At A-Med Specialty Pharmacy, we make sure your patients receive all the training and support they need to administer
their medications. We also work closely with physicians to ensure our patients adhere to their prescribed therapy.
Personal Service
Patients who choose A-Med as their specialty pharmacy have the support of a skilled team of experts. Patients will
receive important disease-specific education from pharmacists who will advise them on their treatment protocols,
assist patients in maximizing adherence, and answer any questions or concerns they may have regarding their therapy.
Rapid Insurance Verification & Prior Authorizations
Nothing is more important than assuring that patients receive their medications as soon as possible. A-Med recognizes
this pressing need and will work with insurance carriers to expedite verification of benefits often within minutes of
your initial phone call. Our expert Clinical Care Staff will notify you of their findings immediately, thus preventing
delays in the onset of your therapy.
Fast and Easy Patient Enrollment
We do not burden the patient with a labor intensive enrollment process. All we need is the patient’s demographics:
- Our pharmacist will contact the physician to fax prescriptions directly to A-Med’s pharmacy.
- Our pharmacist will also accept verbal prescriptions.
- Our Clinical Care Team will complete the new patient information with the assistance of the patient.
- Our customers should expect to receive their medications within 24 hours of a patient enrollment package being completed.
Prescriptions Delivered to your Patients Door
A-Med Rx provides free customized shipping and delivery. With overnight delivery options we ensure your patients medications
will be delivered on time and to the location of their choice.
Distribution
Prescriptions are filled at our state-of-the-art distribution center in Huntington Beach, California.
Medication Compounding Services
A-Med Specialty Pharmacy offers non-sterile compounding to meet individual patient needs:
- Customized dosing options.
- Customized medication delivery options (G-Tube, J-Tube, etc.).
- Medications without preservatives or additives (for allergies).
- Oral suspensions.
- Customized flavoring for children.

- Medication Adherence Monitoring - Our clinical care coordination program is designed specifically to oversee
multiple aspects of a patient’s therapy. Because specialty drug treatment may change frequently, our patient care management
includes monitoring for the following:
- Adequate home or office inventory of specialty drugs.
- Adherence and persistence to prescribed drug regimens.
- Continuity of care.
- Patient assessment screening surveys before each refill to help reduce treatment failures.
- Ongoing prior authorization requirements.
- Eligibility or benefit changes.
- Clinical Consultations - Our pharmacists are responsible for counseling and responding to patient inquires to
help patients make educated decisions regarding supplements and complimentary therapies. A-Med Specialty Pharmacy will:
- Check for drug interactions on all medications dispensed.
- Check for drug interactions on all over the counter medications and supplements reported by the patient and/or physician.
- Work with the physician to select the nutritional supplement that will work best with the patient’s medications and lifestyle.
- Timely, Worry-Free Refills - Our Clinical Care Team will call each patient 1 week prior to refill due date. They will
confirm that the patient is still taking the medication and the directions are current. The patient will also be able to call in directly
to the pharmacy for any therapy related concerns or any changes they have had to their regimens.
- Patient Confidentiality - We understand our patient’s need for discretion, confidentiality and reliable services.
We will be in complete compliance with the HIPAA regulations designed to protect patient’s privacy rights. Our company name or logo will
not be visible on any delivery labels or packages if requested by patient.
- Multilingual Patient Educational Materials and Culturally Sensitive Clinical Care Staff – Our Clinical Care Team is
trained to be culturally sensitive and confidential. We will provide multi-lingual educational materials with each medication to describe
side effects and precautions. We will also keep our patients updated about current events regarding their therapies (i.e. new drug
approvals, new generic approvals, etc.). We will contact our patients via phone, mail or e-mail, whichever they choose.

attain the highest level of quality care, resulting in increased patient adherence, persistence and effectiveness of therapy.
A-Med meets the patient’s prescribed therapy needs promptly, accurately and compassionately. Our professional Clinical Care Team is
comprised of experienced and qualified Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Clinical Care Staff dedicated to fulfilling prescriptions
for patients undergoing complex therapies.
- A-Med pharmacists and technicians are available to answer your questions 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
- Our Clinical Care Staff will contact the patient each month to follow-up on refills and assure timely medication deliveries so that
treatment continues uninterrupted.
